SUSTAINABLE FOREST PRACTICES

At Wreath Montana, repeat forest lands are just as important as repeat customers.  We take great care to make sure the permitted areas where we harvest our boughs, are areas that can be used for future generations of Christmas Wreaths.

Wreath Montana Sustainable Forest Practices

Harvesting Wreath Boughs:

We believe in “Tipping”.  Not only do we generously tip our waitress at the local diner, but every mature tree needs a generous “tipping”.  “Tipping”, is a term used in our industry for pruning the branches.  We do not remove whole branches or cut down any trees to harvest our boughs used in the production of wreaths.  Only the first 6” to 8” inches of tips are used.  The branches that are pruned will regenerate new growth in 2-3 years.

There you have it!  Sustainable harvest practices that make even the crankiest waitress happy!
